Bob Motz is a legendary American drag racing driver and builder most famous for creating and piloting one of the first and fastest jet-powered semi trucks in the world. He and his son Scott built a custom Kenworth truck powered by a General Electric J79 jet engine, capable of exceeding 200 mph (320 km/h) on drag strips, leaving fire and loud exhaust trails during exhibitions at racing events across the U.S. — often thrilling fans of extreme vehicles.
His truck became iconic in jet truck shows and demonstrations, and he continued to race and show it for decades — even into his 80s.
